I remember my first reading very well. It was 1972 and I was 18 or 19. I was riding trains, busses and hitchhiking through Mexico. I was in Tulum on the Yucatan peninsula. I woke up one morning and took a hit of acid about 6:30 and picked up the borrowed book, figuring, I'll read until I start coming on. I took another hit about 8:00 pm and finished the book at 6 the next morning.Subsequent readings, after leaving my hippy ways behind were just as profound.P.S. I lovet part 1 of the movie.
Hahaha. You're the first person I've met who read Atlas the first time on acid! I'm glad that the book has stood the test of time, even when you weren't tripping. And glad you liked the movie, too.
